Thank you for using QR Studio - Website QR Generator, a product of EVRN Extensions. We built QR Studio with privacy as our core foundational principle. This Privacy Policy outlines what data we collect (spoiler: nothing), how the extension operates locally, and the specific permissions we request to function.

1. Data Collection

The QR Studio extension collects ZERO personally identifiable information (PII), zero web history, and zero analytics. We do not track you, we do not log your activities, and we do not monitor what QR codes you generate.

2. Local Processing

All QR codes are generated 100% locally on your own device and within your browser. No data, URLs, text, or images used to generate your QR codes are ever transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.

3. Local Storage

To improve your experience, the extension utilizes Chrome's local.storage solely for the following purposes:

• To save your design preferences (such as chosen templates, colors, or custom center logos).
• To maintain a temporary history of your last 10 generated QR codes so you do not lose your work.

This data never leaves your computer and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension's local data.

4. Permissions Justification

To function correctly and provide its features, QR Studio requires the following Chrome permissions. Here is exactly why we need them:

• activeTab: Used only at the exact moment you click the extension icon to grab the URL of your current tab and instantly generate a QR code for it.
• contextMenus: Used to add a right-click option, allowing you to easily generate a QR code for any link you right-click on a web page.
• webNavigation & tabs: Used strictly to support the free development of this extension via affiliate links (explained below in Section 5).

5. Monetization & Affiliate Links

We believe in keeping QR Studio 100% free with no premium paywalls. To support the ongoing development and maintenance of the extension, we participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program.

If you navigate to an Amazon domain, the extension may append our affiliate tag to the URL. This process does not collect any of your user data, nor does it track your browsing behavior outside of Amazon. It simply utilizes Amazon's standard tracking cookies to attribute any resulting purchases to us, at zero additional cost to you.

6. Third-Party Sharing

Because we do not collect any user data, we inherently do not sell, trade, or transfer any data to outside parties. Your information remains entirely in your control, on your device.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date". Because we do not collect your contact information, it is your responsibility to review this page periodically.
